Privacy

An address is personal data. Here is exactly what this portal does with it.

Data controller

my-swiss operates this information portal. For any question about personal data, write to the contact address given on the site.

What we collect

Strictly what is needed to work: the address you enter for analysis, and the parameters you type into the calculators. Nothing else is asked for.

Your addresses are not stored

The address you enter is used to produce the analysis shown, then discarded. It is not recorded in any database, and it never appears in a shareable link: the share button points to the municipality page, which identifies no one.

No user account

This portal does not yet offer accounts: there is nothing to create, no password is requested, no profile is built. When accounts are introduced, this page will be updated before they go live.

No advertising tracking

No advertising cookies, no social network trackers, no profiling. No consent banner is therefore needed — we have nothing for you to accept.

Third-party services queried

To analyse an address, the portal queries the services of swisstopo, OpenStreetMap, transport.opendata.ch and Open-Meteo from ITS server — never from your browser. Those services therefore see a request from us, not from you. Only the base map is loaded directly by your browser from swisstopo.

Hosting

The portal and its database are hosted on a server located in Europe. No data is transferred outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area.

Retention period

Addresses are not retained. Technical server logs, which contain IP addresses, are kept for at most thirty days for security and diagnostics, then deleted.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification and erasure. Since no address is retained and no accounts exist, there is in practice no personal data about you to extract or delete — but every request will receive an answer.

Changes

This page describes how the portal actually works today, not a generic template. Any change affecting data processing — accounts, audience measurement, email alerts — will be published here BEFORE it goes live.

This policy describes the state of the portal at its last update. It will be amended before, not after, any change in data processing.
